Fairey Surveys

The Fairey Surveys website is a collection of information about a much loved air survey company that lives on in the memories of its former employees.

There is information here on the history, technology, marketing, aeroplanes, employees and social life of the company, which started life in 1923 as the Air Survey Company working in Burma, and ended as a subsidiary of the engineering company Halcrow about 70 years later.

The volunteers who run the website are happy to accept contributions of photographs or other material for publication here – please use the email address on the Contacts page to get in touch.

We don’t hold archives of aerial photographs or anything else.  Anyone searching for old or historic aerial photographs taken by Fairey Surveys or anyone else should contact NCAP (National Collection of Aerial Photography).
